All LightSpeed power cord includes a special Pure Energy electronics that can effectively filter DC components that contaminate the alternating current. This results in a cleaner sinusoidal alternating current, which results in more efficient operation. The special of LightSpeed Pure Energy electronics is the lighting rings of the connectors that provide a unique look to LightSpeed power cords.
Structure
LightSpeed power cord has Balanced dual-core helix structure conductors, 12 AWG total conductive cross-section, separated multi-purpose shielding, and reduced resistance. The Lightspeed model has the newest inner helix structure, thereby minimizing the inductive and capacitive effects of the parallel construction of the conductors, which negatively affects the alternating current phase accuracy.
The Balanced dual-core helix structure conductors are covered with special anti-static film, tin-plated, dense woven pure copper shielding, synthetic polymer insulation, and a special high-density polyester damping outer casing. The high-density polyester layer has a dielectric constant lower than the often used Teflon insulation and provides adequate protection against vibrations from the environment.
The new dual Nano Black Helix outer layer not only provides a special and unique appearance to the Lightspeed power cords, but the special metallised polymer film with a coating of 500 nanometers thick metal prevents radio frequencies and electromagnetic interference from entering the cable inner structure. Similar metallised polymer films are used in NASA spacesuits to reflect radiation and it has been applied as an antistatic layer for insulating materials in aircraft. The fields generated by the current in the pure copper conductors are effectively attenuated by the internal shielding, while the new improved nano Black Helix layer is responsible for external electromagnetic and radiofrequency noise protection, which together reduces the negative interaction between the current flowing in the conductor and the insulation.
Lightspeed has Balanced dual-core helix structure conductors and 12 AWG total conductive cross-sections, providing balanced and continuous power to the connected devices. The advantage of the Balanced helix design is the symmetry, as all wires have the same cross-section and electrical parameters, providing balanced, continuous, and stable performance as opposed to asymmetric cables. The asymmetric cables, such as those with double-phase conductors, can cause continuous fluctuations in alternating current due to different cross-sections and electrical parameters. Even the slightest fluctuations in the power supply can affect the stable operation of audio and video devices, as it can cause continuous noises in the sound and picture.
In addition to the advantages of symmetric design, the Balanced dual-core helix structure effectively reduces the skin effect, as conductors are not only composed of elementary strands but are arranged in separate groups. The cross-sectional of the multi-core conductors is small enough to prevent the skin effect from developing, but overall, the conductors have an adequate cross-section to provide the optimal power supply.
Connectors
The Lightspeed model received high-quality, selected polymer-composite connectors with pure copper contacts inside. The rhodium-silver coating on the outside of the contacts provides the right connection, which has measurably better electrical parameters than for example gold coating and is more resistant to environmental impacts.
In addition to the high quality of the connectors, the special look is also emphasized by the built-in lighting. The lighting rings of the connectors give the Lightspeed model a unique look.
