Bought mainly because I was tired of the previous felt mat sticking to the records. Sonic differences are subtle, but I think there is more silence in the background if that makes sense. Good value, definitely worth experimenting with.

Got this at same time as the disc weight.Perfect fit for Clearaudio platter.Does not attract dust-I don’t have a cover for the turntable.In combination with the weight it has significantly improved listening quality even on records from the 60s.Again such a better alternative to the Clearaudio product.Don’t know why I didn’t get them 5 years ago when I bought the deck !!

I bought one of these a year ago but wanted to live with it before writing a review.
I agree with other reviews, no more static and it sticks to the platter.

On my old Rega P3 2000 deck, it has reduced the liveliness and in turn sibilance. Lower frequencies seem boosted so the overall character is a little different. It took a little while to get used to, but I now prefer the overall presentation.

In reference to the review title, the biggest improvement though is the reduced noise floor. To further keep that crackle at bay, make sure you use good anti static sleeves, have a good cleaning regime and use a quality record and styles brush - all things available from this great site!

I am very pleased with this mat. It's better than a basic felt mat as it doesn't attract and catch dust like a felt mat will do.

This mat has a lovely surface which seems to reduce static very effectively.

I would recommend it highly.

No static, tames treble a bit I think 🤷🏻and doesn't lift. Can't ask for more ! Oh, and I like leather, it looks superb and the fit could not be better. You don't catch and lift it when you lift your LP.

I bought this mat a few years ago for my Linn tt. I always hated the felt mat that Linn fitted as it built a static charge and clung to lp's. The leather mat doesn't , but far more important, it lowers the noise floor and improves clarity, especially noticeable in deeper and better articulated bass. My Linn is dead quiet when playing silent grooves, but when bass is there, oh boy. Try the mat. You will never go back to cork or felt.

The mat arrived in a cardboard outer, and flexible plastic inner protector. It is well made and fitted perfectly. There was an immediate subtle improvement to sound performance over my felt mat, and my carbon fibre one. The leather will not retain bits in a way that felt can and it looks stylish when the black is contrasted with the edge of the polished metal platter and record weight.

Much reduced static, lovely feel, reduction in turntable dust - exactly what I wanted and at a good price.

Bought this mat to try to stop a build up of static which was causing me some issues. This solved the problem immediately. Really pleased with it, and of course being AS it was delivered extremely quickly.
