With record cleaning machines costing £300.00 upwards here is a cost effective alternative. To the best of our knowledge this is the only record cleaning machine that submerges a record in a bath of cleaning fluid
The principle is simple, two discs with a 100mm diameter clamp each side of the records label, thus protecting it during cleaning, this then rests in a groove at the top of the rectangular cleaning bath, the bath is topped up with supplied cleaning fluid, the record is then rotated around its central axis. As the record passes through the bath, two sets of brushes clean each side of the album. Once you’re happy with the results simply remove the record and centre clamps, and place your clean album on the rack to dry. Because the cleaning solution contains wetting agent, records dry without smears. When cleaning is complete, pour your used cleaning fluid from the bath through a filtering funnel back into you cleaning fluid bottle for re-use.
Excellent product and service from analogue seduction will use again.

Does the job .
Fantastic value for money. This simple but very effective piece of kit is great at cleaning/reviving your records. You will quickly get the hang of using it and then each record takes less than 5mins to clean.
Seems to work ok but is a bit fiddly to use. Instructions could be better, they say rotate the disc slowly a few times, what is slowly and how many times? I know it depends on the state of the record but a suggested starting point would be helpful.

Wasn't sure what to expect for something only costing around £50, but the reviews I'd read were mostly glowing. I'm happy to say I'm in total agreement with them. It's turned some of my records that I was looking to sell due to their condition, back into almost new records.I didn't use the cleaning fluid that comes with the it as I'd heard it leaves a residue behind that's picked up by the stylus, so instead use a mixture of distilled water and isopropyl alcohol and it works a treat.Lovely getting the inner sleeves as well, making this the best value option available online if you're looking to buy.
I have a small 120 record collection, so anything more expensive seemed overkill. The records were in storage for decades and some have not been played for about 50 years! I followed both Paul Rigby's recommendation (audiophileman.com) and wash fluid recipe in my decision to purchase, he stating that the Knosti solution provided leaves detectable residues. I might try it on cds which have no grooves to clog up. I went for a later build of the original unit; the brushes are removable on my unit. The unit is easy to use, the only bit causing some slight learning being attaching the label clamps. Make sure you pass the spindle all the way through so that the spindle clamp touches the label, then move the other clamp in. They tighten by counter-clockwise action. Tighten finger tight. I have found no label wetting in the wash process. You will need to add a bit of electric tape (green and yellow works well) to the non-spindle clamp to allow rotation counting, as the black arrows are hard to see. Following Rigby's protocol of a pre-wash each side, spin and counterspin and dry racking, I found it takes about 5 mins per record from unsleeving to rack. The counterspins 1 to 4 seem usefully stiffer than subsequent turns, so I guess the goat hair bristles are getting deep into the groves. I seem to oscillate between 6-8 turns each way. It is useful to wait 15 secs after spinning to allow wash fluid draining, and when using the spindle to remove the washed record, angle it at 45 degrees to engage the drips to congregate and fall. His recipe mix is a bit heady, so it is useful to limit exposure and wash your hands in the processing. The provided rack is useful. I place the Knosti on a microfibre cloth to stop it sliding about, and use another for the record pre-wash. The spindles are handy to move the record about in the process. Certainly the wash bath solution looks quite grey after use so it is definitely removing grime. I use a chemical wash bottle to run a bit of distilled water over the surface to rinse, not following Rigby's suggestion of a 2nd Knosti for this purpose. So far I have only run them through once. The free pack of sleeves was a nice touch from Analogue Seduction and aided the process. I am purchasing more of the same sort from them. I would certainly recommend the Knosti if you have a manageable collection.

I thought it was a lot of money for a lot of plastic and a couple of brushes with a bottle of cleaning fluid. But to give it it's credit I have records that are 30 years old and have never been cleaned and this cleaning kit restored and brought them back to life. Great service with Analogue Seduction with quick delivery and communication.
I have a 40+ year old collection that has suffered the indignity of being side lined to the garage for 14 years! Got them back to the deck and most of them were unplayable. Tried brushed, tried cleaner and cloth and although they improved they were still pretty bad. It was time to try something different, came across this and with an element of scepticism tried it out. This has re born my entire collection. There is still the odd pop but hey these are old vinyl. Cannot recommend this product enough. Also great service from Analogue Seduction
Don’t be put off by the slightly flimsy feel - this kit is brilliantly designed and does the job extremely well: just try a dry-run without liquid on what you think is a clean record and you’ll see the amount of dust/dirt that the brushes pick up. Vastly better than any cloth-wiping!
What a difference a wash makes, my records sound as they should with clarity. It works.
