Flux HiFi Vinyl Turbo Vacuum Record Cleaner
After more than a year of development, Flux HiFi introduces the Flux Turbo. A plate brush with integrated suction. Sounds simple, but it is not.
The enemy of the record playback is the dust. This consists of many components. Silicates, polymers, organic substances, everything is included. With a plate washing machine that works with a liquid, most of it is cleaned, even release agent residues are removed. But what then? As soon as the precious disc is put on, the dust falls like snow onto the record. This creates some problems. Particles and hair settle on the needle and make scanning as good as impossible. The dust particles on the plate constantly cause enormous crackling noises which lead to considerable distortions.
With a standard plate brush, the dust is indeed collected, but except for a pair of coarse particles that absorbs the brush, he is rather finer debris pressed into the groove bottom and distributed, the Flux Turbo provides a quick remedy. The suction power is so strong that almost all particles are sucked in already in 1-2 turns.
The interior of the turbo is very complex. In order to achieve a good usable suction power in this small, lightweight case, each item had to be specially developed. Starting with the fan geometry up to the shaping of the suction channel, it was optimized where possible. At the slightly inclined end of the suction channel, it is easy to see the integrated guidelines, which ensure that it is uniformly extracted across the entire surface. An elaborate filter construction, the cartridge can be easily replaced, picks up the dirt. The capacity reaches well over 100 applications, as well as the durability of the batteries.

Everything was thought of here. Even the velvet skids that ensure that the surface of the record is not damaged, are easy to replace.
The brush insert made of genuine carbon fibres is also earthed, so that the sound record the static charge, which attracts more dust, is withdrawn. This is the large contact strip under the switch. This is electrically connected to the conductive brush fibres.
Surprisingly strong is the effect on the playback. The sound seems liberated. Significantly less distortion is reproduced even complex music with strong controls. Sampling noise, previously characteristic for analogue reproduction, is reduced by up to 50% before extraction by the extraction system. Here it is not about achieving a clinically pure reproduction, but to get out everything that is contained on the record optimally. And that's a lot. More than one dared to hope so far!
Crucial in the application of the flux turbo is the simplicity. Sucked quickly over the plate and the pleasure can start. Listen to better records than ever!
