Luxman LMC-5 MC Phono Cartridge is a moving coil cartridge designed to deliver an accurate and precise reading of your records, with low distortion levels and low noise. The first cartridge design for 40 years, Luxman's LMC-5 showcases some of the finest cartridge design Luxman have to offer.
Why Luxman LMC-5?
Luxman's LMC-5 phono cartridge is the brand's first cartridge design for almost 40 years, and they've utilised all their knowledge and technology, found throughout the years, to make a grand resurgence to the cartridge world. Their last cartridges to be released were the LMC-1 in 1981 and the LMC-2 in 1982.
LMC-5 Design
Luxman's LMC-5 cartridge has been developed to achieve a precise and accurate reading, with the ability to pick up even the subtlest information engraved in the record. Luxman achieved this by using high quality materials and implementing some of their finest cartridge design techniques to ensure an accurate performance.
Such cartridge techniques include a linear energy generation engine, a carefully crafted alumite body for movement support, an outer wall to protect the cantilever and a chassis with inverted oval curves to reduce reflections and resonance.
Stylus Design
The LMC-5 uses a Shibata needle, which has a low audible noise, and is connected to an aluminium cantilever to achieve a neutral tone. It delivers a sound with low distortion, reduced cross-channel sensitivity and an accurate reading of your records.
