Audio Technica AT85EP P and U Mount Moving Magnet Cartridge

The Audio-Technica Consumer AT85EP is a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical phonograph cartridge designed for DJs, turntablists, and music aficionados using P-mount turntables in clubs, live sets, and home stereo setups. It features a bonded round stylus shank with an aluminum pipe cantilever. The 20 dB of channel separation and a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz ensure accurate and detailed audio reproduction.

Amazing value P-Mount.

I bought this AT85EP as a temporary cartridge for my Technics linear tracker to get a new stylus while I decided on a change or upgrade from an Ortofon OM20 I'd used for a while. Given the whole cartridge was just 20% of the cost of a replacement stylus for the OM20 I didn't expect too much but it's most impressive. On several music types such as rock and blues I think I prefer the AT's somewhat more up front presentation. I'm sure it would be even more impressive upgraded with a higher grade compatible Tonar stylus.
