Great product and outstanding shipping service 28 September 2022 | Shayne
Took a punt and ordered a pair of Custom Design FS 104 signature stands as I couldn't find a domestic (Australian) supplier. They arrived within a week from UK, very impressed!! The stands themselves are excellent and perfect for my Spendor 4/5 Classics. Highly recommend this seller!!

I'm glad I purchased these at the same time as my new system, they look the business and everything is in place looking smart right off the block.... Well made and can withstand my clumsy oaf dog bashing into them...

These stands are fantastic. So we’ll made. Come flat packed with easy to follow instructions. Allen keys are provided. Use 2 bags of the filler also sold by custom design, that are way cheaper than the other usual stand filler. Result is a vey heavy sturdy stand that definitely improved the sound way above my old sound organisation stands. Really good value for money. Am so impressed I may upgrade my HiFi rack from the same manufacturer.

Superb, affordable choice for BBC-style monitors 02 February 2021 | Glenn
I wanted to try a pair of open-frame stands for my Spendor SP3/1R2's, but there are not many choices available here in the USA, without spending an arm and a leg. That led me to see what was available at Analogue Seduction, whom I've happily purchased from several times already.
Considering their open-frame design, I was surprised to find that they are fairly weighty. Assembly was simple and straightforward, and the parts all aligned together perfectly. Once all of the bolts are fastened down tightly, the stand is very rigid. The supplied spikes are pretty substantial too. This is a high quality, serious product.
For filler, I used almost an entire 25 lb. bag of aquarium sand. I've used kitty litter in the past to fill stands, but my house has no AC and the summers here are humid, so I didn't want to use anything absorbent. I also didn't want to use something with fine dust, which could leak out of the bottom. I filled the center column 70-80% using a funnel, but was unable to fit the funnel into the opening of the satellite legs. If I can find a small enough funnel somewhere, I'll fill those later on.
My listening impression matches what some have told me to expect from thin-walled BBC-style monitors on open frame stands. Bass has less weight/fullness than with the 75 lb. mass-loaded stands I had been using, but it's also more lithe and tuneful, and the overall presentation has more air and snap. I immediately noticed that the soundstage had gained depth and detail, and there are occasional moments when I am struck by how lifelike voices sound.
I would also like to say a word about placing orders with Analogue Seduction from overseas. Even though I am located in the USA, sometimes it pays off for me to order British products from a British dealer. Even with the cost of shipping factored in, the total cost is sometimes substantially lower vs. ordering from a US retailer. In the case of these Custom Design stands, I am not aware of any dealers that even carry them in the US. I have now purchased three times from Analogue Seduction, and on average it takes about a week for the items to arrive here in Massachusetts, which is not bad at all. The packing is always done securely and thoroughly, and the buying experience is always top-notch. (Their website even conveniently has the option of viewing prices in USD and other currencies.)

These loudspeaker stands are of the highest quality.
First of all when they arrived they were well packed with bubble wrap and protective card around every component, a good sign. I followed the instructions for assembly which asks you to build the top first and if you purchased some inert filler you can add this from the bottom.
Allen keys are supplied and all the bolts fitted well, no play and very firm when tightened. The metal work was very nicely finished and the supports very solid. Which is good because my ATC SCM 19's are not light, so I did order mine with the large top plate and the fit is pretty much perfect. The spikes are nice and sharp and easily went through my carpet and underlay right to the floor. They are very easily adjustable with allen key and a locking nut.
A word on the inert filler, yes you can make four bags of this stuff disappear into each speaker. Fill the centre support first and make sure you gently tap it with the palm of your hand to help the filler settle. The satellite columns were a little bit more difficult to fill and yes you need a funnel to do this. Make sure you have time and exercise some patience and again tap gently with the palm of your hand. It takes a while but it's worth it. For the satellite columns I also used a bit of masking tape around each column to help hold the funnel and channel the filler. I only spilt about a table spoon full so consider that not too bad.
Finally, how do they sound? After filling a final construction make sure you go around again and tighten each bolt. The filler makes them nice and heavy and very dead. The ATC's do like these stands and I am very much in awe of the musical reproduction I am getting with them and the stands. A very worthwhile purchase and hats off to the guy(s) who make them.

Just bought these and using with Acoustic Energy AE1s.
Top plate has slightly larger footprint than the AE1s but the cabinets sit on these okay. Nicely packed and easy to assemble with the allen keys provided.
Centre and satellite tubes have a fair bit of "zing" as they are steel tubes but loading with inexpensive kiln dried sand (not the cheaper sharp wet sand) reduces this and damps any zing very well.
Used a pint and a half of KDS per centre column with good effect.
Nicely packed, finished and functional.
Have these improved the sound of my system ?
Would say yes.
