Even the highest quality materials ultimately succumb to the loving wear and tear of everyday use. For this reason Audeze offers hand-crafted leather earpad replacements for their LCD line of planar magnetic headphones.
Audeze replacement earpads are made of cell polyurethane foam and covered in Italian lambskin leather. Designed with slope, the earpads direct the planar magnetic drivers toward your ear for an improved fit and to isolate against noise. Audeze replacement earpads feature pressure sensitive adhesive rings to simplify installation.
Audeze worked with their leather supplier for three years to find the perfect material for the replacement earpads. They finally found a luxurious, soft and supple black lambskin leather that is the perfect fit for Audeze LCD headphones. The leather is imported from a remote region in Italy.

LEATHER-FREE PADS
Audeze headphones and earpads are designed to work together to create the signature lifelike sound of the LCD-2 headphones. Changing the genuine leather earpad to a leather-free alternative material was not an easy feat as the material plays such a dramatic role. Audeze have achieved this with a material combination that is a worthy replacement to the original earpad in every respect.
