Dekoni Audio has introduced a new era in ear pads with the new Fenestrated Sheepskin ear pad.

The pad is designed to be cooler and more comfortable than any other pad and has the added benefit of helping to give the headphone a cleaner sound stage by reducing reflections of the direct sound before entering the ear.

Improved comfort and sound

The real bonus of these is comfort. They are deeper, giving more room for my oversized tabs! They feel cooler and less itchy than the stock velour ones when worn for any length of time.
As for sound, there are some subtle benefits. The extra volume seems to open up the soundstage a little, making them sound a little less flat. Treble is a little more detailed too, while sibilance is definitely better controlled.
All in all, much more pleasant and detailed than with stock pads.
