E-Glo I is an “All tube” creation that brings the sonic performance E.A.T. is known for into the category of integrated amplifiers! E.A.T. have put careful consideration towards the E-Glo I’s audio precision, which matches the luxurious outward appearance of the amplifier, and in doing so, matches the ethos and aim of the brand.
E.A.T. has devoted a significant amount of time to developing the E-Glo I, including its amplifier components. One crucial aspect of this development involved researching new technologies to enhance sonic imaging and combine "wire-to-wire connections" with PCB techniques to achieve exceptional sound quality.
A key element of the technology used in the E-Glo I revolves around a relay attenuator. This attenuator features two independent blocks for each channel, resulting in improved channel separation. Such volume control is typically found in competing amplifiers at a much higher price range.
This solution has proven to be the best in listening and audible tests that were carried out. The deviation between the sync of the left and right channel of the attenuator is lower than 0.05 dB, which outclasses even the best potentiometers. This accuracy of the attenuator control delivers excellent playback of the recorded soundstage. One of the most important parts of a tube amplifier, an output transformer, has several bifilar windings that are lined up in sections to maximize power bandwidth.
The E-Glo benefits from its type A classification, as this not only helps deliver low levels of distortion, but also allows the amplifier to run more efficiently, ensuring that the performance of the valves is always optimized. The E-Glo I uses high-output KT-88 tubes for its valve output, which not only enables greater connectivity options when pairing with speakers, but also adds rich and engaging qualities to the audio during playback.
