Heos Link HS2 Wireless Preamplifier with DAC
Wireless sound around your home
All HEOS (by Denon) music systems connect together by dual-band Wi-Fi, making them easy to set up with your existing home network. Should your signal be weak in a certain part of your home, then the HEOS Extend can be used to boost the signal quality. Up to 32 HEOS units can be set up at one time, ensuring even the largest of homes are covered for multi-room music. Should you prefer to stick with a wired connection, then you can make use of the Ethernet socket that's standard on all HEOS speaker systems.
Effortless control from your smartphone or tablet
Once you've set up the HEOS systems, controlling them is simple with the free HEOS app. This user-friendly app uses three main tabs that feature at all times - Rooms, Music and Now Playing. Rooms allows individual control of the music being played in a particular room. You can see what music is playing where, from anywhere around your home. For an instant 'party mode' simply 'pinch' the zones together and get up to eight speaker zones, all playing the same music at once. The Music tab selects the streaming music service or stored music either on your device or a remote device connected via the DLNA network. This means you should be able to access pretty much all the digitally stored music available in your home. Now playing gives you artist, title and track timer information plus lets you control the master volume and also view the music queue.
Now with Bluetooth
The latest version of the HEOS Link now comes with the added bonus of built-in Bluetooth. This means that, even if you don't take advantage of the HEOS multi-room room system, you can get quick and easy Bluetooth streaming from any smartphone or tablet.
Endlessly compatible - including Hi Res playback
A great benefit of choosing the HEOS system is its class-leading compatibility. In terms of music streaming services, it's compatible with Spotify Connect (requires Spotify Premium account), Rhapsody, Pandora, TuneIn and other services offering DRM-free tracks. Supported music files include MP3, WMA, AAC, FLAC and WAV, making it compatible with just about all stored music libraries. The new HS2 model is now also compatible with High Resolution music files in FLAC, WAV and ALAC formats.
Denon Hi-Fi sound quality
As you'd expect from this top quality hi-fi brand, HEOS use quality components and expert design to give the HEOS Link a natural and detailed sound that suits all types of music. Should you require a little more oomph than your current system can muster, then you can add a subwoofer via the RCA sub output.
Connect up your way
Whatever hi-fi you may have, when it comes to connecting up, HEOS has it covered. If you've a digital amp or AV receiver then you can make use of the optical or coaxial digital connections. More traditional systems are served by the RCA phono outputs. If you already use a remote controlled Denon hi-fi system then you should be able to take advantage of the IR output. Once connected, you'll be able to take control of your system's power and input sources via the HEOS app. In addition to this, the HEOS Link also comes with a 12V trigger output making it suitable for use with many types of multi-room system accessories.
Added connectivity from USB, optical and twin aux
In addition to wireless connectivity, the HEOS Link HS2 also offers USB, optical and twin AUX input connections. Plug in your USB media stick and listen to stored music anywhere on the network! The optical digital, RCA phono and 3.5mm AUX inputs are ideal for adding other local sources, such as your TV to the main speaker zone.
