'The HiFi Rose RS201E arrives in a congested segment with no preceding legacy of greatness to back it up. There are some quirks to the manner in which it operates (that you'd get used to fairly quickly) and the Bluetooth is fairly middling too. Compared to something like the Artera Solus Play, the connectivity is a little limited as well.

Spend any time with it though and these concerns largely fade into irrelevance. The implementation of the software is superb, the stability and general reliability is peerless and the build quality is also excellent. More than any of these things though, the RS201E sounds genuinely excellent. This is a system that keeps the Uniti Atom honest while costing £650 less and it does it while bringing some unique functionality into play that some readers will find completely irresistible. There are some detailed areas that warrant improvement but the core offering of the HiFi Rose is hugely compelling and for that reason it comes enthusiastically Recommended.'
