Project Ground IT E Isolation Platform

The Ground-IT E is the perfect upgrade for improved turntable performance, while also making your precious record player sit centre stage.

Made from a thick piece of MDF and finished in a stunning high-gloss piano black lacquer, the affordable Ground-IT E is designed to benefit a large range of turntables from the Pro-Ject Audio Systems range, as well as other manufacturers. The base sits upon 4 conical spiked feet that are sandwiched between specially-designed damping rings to reduce resonance and create a decoupling solution between the turntable and any surface.

The Ground-IT E can hold any moderate weight turntable with dimensions of less than 480 x 28 x 390mm (WxHxD), and also accommodates the Cover-IT E and Cover-IT RPM 1/3 Carbon dust cover.

Perfect solution to a space problem

Having turned a small 4th bedroom into a studio for voiceover work and an office, space is a limitation. This room is where I like to listen to music also. Getting back into vinyl after a 30+ year absence has not helped! So a practical solution was needed to place a turntable. Understanding the benefits of isolation this platform sits perfectly on a printer and placing the turntable on this has allowed accommodation of the space problem and if I need access to the top of the printer a very simple lift off the printer using the platform as a tray!! There is absolutely no sound compromise - this platform is dense enough to deaden vibration and its finish is exactly the same is the turntable which happens to be a Pro-Ject too. Ensuring measurements worked to facilitate all this was key - great when a plan works.......getting back into vinyl has been a wonderful journey back to younger days.

Analogue Seduction rules!

After some research (both reading and browsing the internet) for a suitable & affordable turntable to play potentially rough/damaged 'car boot' finds on (I have plenty of these!) I decided that a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon DC in black would fit the bill, complementing my RP10 in style & colour & being priced competitively with a good quality starter cartridge. I was looking to spend up to about £400 or so depending on what I could find. Unbelievably Analogue Seduction had a small number of these listed as new but 'open box' at £200! So I could not resist... I am so glad I went ahead: placed on the Pro-Ject isolation platform it really sings & I highly recommend it as a starter package - even at full retail price.

Delivery of both items was free (& within 24 hours of purchase) & Gary (who served me I believe) was extremely helpful on the phone. I will certainly look to this company again & hope that once the current crisis of 2020 is behind us all, an eventual trip to Peterborough will be on the cards.
