Wanted something that would not put weight on the turntable. This does an excellent job.

This Clever Clamp stops any movement between the Record and the Plater. I did not purchase it to use with warped Records. It does exactly what it says it does. Very useful product.

Clamps dished vinyl records in place, had one that didn't play at all so bought this. Simple but effective, no need for a weighty clamp. Using with a Clearaudio Concept TT.

Holds and flattens the record to the platter. Will it manager warped records? Maybe to a small degree but not if it's warped at the edges.

Well, I did have to look up the web to find out which way was up but, after that, it's a doddle to use. Well made in clear plastic and with a firm grip on the spindle. Only time will tell if it makes a sonic difference but the record certainly does sit more firmly on the turntable.

I noticed when cleaning records on my felt platter mat the record would slip and this left me considering a record clamp as I considered this could occur during playback. My first choice was the Mitchell Rega clamp but contact with them revealled the length of spindle above a record on my Thorens TD125 was insufficient at 4.5mm, 5mm being the minimum. The Clearaudio clamp has no such limitations and just does the job and is simple to both place and remove.

After platter, sub-platter, and belt upgrades to my Rega 25, and with a Funk Acromat, I didn't think it could get any better.
However, based on other reviews here I decided to give the Clearaudio Clever Clamp a go.
After playing some of my vinyls without the clamp, I played the same records again with it on.
What I thought was good before now sounded less focused and loose without the clamp. With the clamp the music was tighter, rhythms were precise, bass, midrange, and treble were all clearer with greater depth.
Musical instruments souned even more realistic with greater fullness of orchestral textures. Overall immense lisening satisfaction and great musical enjoyment.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Clever Clamp. For sonic improvement it is an absolute bargain.
My only problem now is when I listen to my CDs I feel cheated of the full musical enjoyment I gain from my LPs!

I bought this cheaper end item just to be able to play some older "warped" records which I had been given. It certainly enabled that.
My PINK Triangle has a full floating sub-chassis, so I wasn't expecting to get much sonic improvement, but the base is definitely tighter and more punchy than before...for £20 amazing.
