Roksan belt is manufactured under tight tolerance and the specs are, er, quite specific. I wouldn't use a generic belt for my Roksan deck.

The new belt does make a difference and is highly recommended although it is a bit pricey.

£75 for a rubber band? Ridiculous!
Well no, actually.
Some time ago I made the mistake of being a cheapskate and buying a drive belt for my Xerxes for half this price, and although initially it was "OK" the pitch stability was not perfect and soon went downhill, so now I've stumped up for the genuine article and, unsurprisingly, things improved.
Not just in terms of pitch though, the improvement overall was significant and well worth the extra, in terms of both sound quality and longevity
