Bought a couple of Jern 15 speakers and two Dynaudio Sub 3. Expensive and besides the incredible sound, they look good together. Sub's on the floor beside the speakers in our living room. At the hifi dealer, the Jern's looked odd on a regular square stand. I found that all speaker stands for general purposes are the variations of square shapes. So I decided to splash some cash on the SolidSteel SS-6. Soundwise the SS-6 add nothing and no rattling. My speakers are 15 kg cast iron on a hard rubber ring, so off cause they don't vibrate. The subs cabinet vibrate very little at high listening levels. But even right besides the SS-6, the stands are not affected. Regular quality stands at lower prices acts the same way. But they look very practical as well. A nice hifi equipment basically. SolidSteel SS-6 look like a furniture as well. The, in my case, black powder coat are even and has nice satin like look. The shape of the steel are rounded vitch gives it a pleasant feel and look as well. The flame welding makes the joints smooth. The spikes are hard steel and well made. Spike tablets for floor protection are not included. The wooden plates have the same qualities. So it's a solid one piece stand with a sculpture like vibe. The height of SS-6 place my Jern's in perfect listing position. Yes, it's pricey. But we'll worth the price if you looking for a pair of very good speaker stands, but also a good looking high quality handmade furniture to match your decor. The two things makes them highly recommend by me. I think there well worth the money.
