I might be a sceptic but I wasn't expecting great things but this little (emphasise little) magnifier but it has proved excellent for viewing stylus condition. The built in light is ideal for showing up dirt build up and the results of gentle cleaning are easily see on a gleaming diamond point.
Well worth the money IMHO.

Fairly easy to use given the (inevitably) short focal length. The powerful LED lights help give a bright image of the stylus, enough to see whether it is really clean and to gain an idea of the overall shape.
