Includes protective storage case
Users of vinyl are well aware of the importance of being able to accurately set their cartridge tracking down-force.
Failure to do this can result in anything from degraded sonic performance, through to mis-tracking and even damage to the record and stylus.
This highly accurate gauge is easy-to-use and sensibly priced. The unit will prove itself indispensible when requiring an absolute and consistent tracking force reference.
A 5.0gram calibration weight is included.

Perfect item. Speedy delivery as always. Thank you
This is a great unit, right after opening the box. It comes with manual, small weight (5 gram), battery, and screwdriver. The later one (which is very unusual, at least to me) is for battery department, as its not push up type, but has two screws, which luck battery department very securely. But everything look very well built and solid. The weight (5 gram) is for checking the gauge accuracy (at least this is what I figure out). Prior start measuring, say tracking force for TT cartridge, you put the weight on top of gauge marking, and the reading on screen should look 5 gram. The idea behind this, if this gauge shift wrongly from its accuracy, the weight helpful to tell you that. Also, the screen and touching it look high quality and well built.I found this unit is extremely needed for high end TT (like VPI Signature 21, which I purchase here from AS, as the counter weight has large dial for better tracking force measurements). Or high end cartridges, that the recommended tracking force require small increment number. So in both situation itsimportant to have both: a very reliable, and accurate gauge.Highly recommended. And thanks a lot Martin, and Simon for all your great help.

My cheaper gauge needed new batteries, the small round type and as it’s not worth keeping spares of these I thought get a better one, especially one that uses AAA batteries.Definitely worth having. The service from Analogue Seduction is always excellent.
I own a MoFi UltraDeck equipped with a MoFi MasterTracker MM and, despite the instructions on the manual and a (cheap) mechanical stylus gauge, my cartridge turned out to be set at 3.something grams instead of the recommended 2g tracking force, and what a difference that makes!Do yourselves a favour and buy this product - and since you're at it, buy it from Analogue Seduction: they were absolutely splendid throughout the shipping process. Thank you Simon!
Having been impressed by the number of positive reviews for this stylus gauge and having compared it to Amazon's £10 offerings, I decided to purchase this more expensive model. The gauge arrived very quickly from Analogue Seduction and was the correct product. I then decided to implement the Origin Live tip to improve a Rega tonearm's playback, by turning the VTF arm dial to max beyond 3, Ie switching off the tonearm's VTF, and set the arm to the cartridges tracking force of 1.75 gms by moving the tonearm's tungsten weight on the P25 backwards and checking with the gauge which I had calibrated as per the simple instructions using the included 5gms weight. I got the VTF to 1.8 gms and left it at that. I played Sibelius' 5th Symphony and En Saga which I know well and they sounded better than ever suggesting to me at least that using a precise gauge is a far better bet than Rega's own dial-in VTF. Very pleased with the gauge even though I will only use it a few times when I change cartridges. Highly recommended.

A necessary tool at a good price, easy to use, well packaged, batteries included, 1 bad point, screw driver supplied roughly finished metal shards be careful when removing from packaging
Easy to set up, well packaged and presented. Very simple to use. Took all the guesswork out of ensuring my LP12/Nima/Goldring setup is tracking at precisely the correct downforce. The delivery from AS was very fast. Recommended unhesitatingly .
Great tooling for adjusting the tracking force of your cartridge. Easy to use, very precise and comes in a fine package. If you change your set up frequently or you're a tweaker this tool is a must have. And Analogue Seduction team: thanks for the quick and fine delivery.
Quality piece, Easy to calibrate & use.
