I also use the much more expensive Shibata stylus (AT-VM95SH) attached to the same VM95 cartridge and, while the Shibata is better in a number of ways, you will need a very good set-up to enjoy the subtle differences.
This blue AT-VM95C is musical, fun, affordable and upgradable. Recommended - especially if you're playing old or worn discs.

AT-VMN95C stylus & AT-VM95C cartridge:

The ultimate in outstanding value. A very good sounding stylus/cartridge combo; as the junior of the range, the conical AT-VM95C, is unbeatable at the price.

True, it doesn't have the finesse of the superior Micro-line (ML) or Shibata (SH), or quite the clarity or detail of these more expensive and more complex stylus shapes, but look at the cost!

For a relatively modest outlay, the C version offers outstanding value for money, a very pleasing and entertaining sound with plenty of bass, decent midrange detail, and a good amount of treble.

Being very un-fussy in nature, it also makes it eminently suited to playing older vinyl if, like me, you like buying second hand / used records. Brilliant in this respect.

Very highly recommended indeed. Good Sound and an 11 out of 10 rating for value for money !

The AT VM95C is an utterly brilliant budget cartridge and stylus. Don't imagine that because it's conical it's going to be lacking. I can assure you that after a few hours use and with the right musical genre(s) this is one incredibly assured performer. I honestly prefer it to some much more expensive cartridges. And it will be more magnificent the better the turntable and arm to which it is fitted. For the money it's astonishing value. And Analogue Seduction have always provided superb service and support.
