I have been using the SC1 mini for a couple of months now and I am very pleased, it has delivered on my expectations.
I have got back into buying records again over the past few years and for the first time buying secondhand records. Perhaps I’ve been lucky but nearly all my purchases have been good although inevitably there are some with pops and clicks that weren’t supposed to be there!
The reviews I’ve read of the SC-1 mini say it can remove pops and clicks without noticeably affecting the music. In my experience this is true and this is why I’m happy. Most of my troublesome records can be cleaned up on the lowest settings and they sound great. I don’t have any “unplayable” records to make a judgment and in truth I didn’t buy it for that reason.
The caveat to that is that I have purchased a couple of records that clearly have groove wear rather than a scratch. The annoying continual sound. The SC1 will not be able to deal with this in my experience, presumably because it is only programmed to remove spikes in the sound. It also can’t deal successfully with those fuzzy crackles you sometimes get mainly at the end of new records, again presumably because it isn’t a scratch but something wrong with the groove.
One the arguments against the SC1 is that you buy a record rather than a CD because it is analogue and not digital. Clearly the SC1 converts the analogue to digital to do its stuff so why not just buy a CD? Well, as I said before, with my older and non audiophile ears, I can’t hear the change to digital, so I am pleased.
Is it worth the money? I suppose I could keep buying replacement records until I have perfect copies and still have some change but I know that is unrealistic.
Recommended.

The Sweetvinyl SC1 has transformed the way I listen to vinyl. I no longer have the slight anxiety that the next disc I buy will be plagued with extraneous noise that are not part of the per. This piece of kit is quite remarkable and I would throughly recommend it.

This unit will forever change the way you buy records. 11 January 2021 | James
No more stress over buying records that are VG+, no more returning brand new records with a slight scratch, or noisy pressing, no more having to sell purchases that didn’t live up to the hype. You will save way more $$ than the cost of the unit. It does everything it says it does, and there NO discernible difference with the unit engaged, or in bypass mode.

Like some of you i was a bit of a skeptic when i was looking at this unit. But i love vinyl but always hated the crackel & pop's.So i said i would give it a go what had i got to loose.
Setting up is not to bad but do read you manual fully before you do anything.
Once you do that your away and yes its pretty amazing, It does just what it says no pops no crackle. if you have a older collection like me i would say put your click repair setting to about 6.
Thank You Sweet Vinyl & The Guys at Analogue Seduction who are amazing may i add..

I bought one of these a few months back.I am very pleased with the unit.Although digital it does not destroy that Analogue sound. The total absence of any clicks or pops is amazing. Very worn charity shop LP's at £1 play very well. I also use the Glass RCM. Looking forward to future updates to remove groove noise from 78's.
