Probably the best upgrade to my Krell S300i 09 August 2016 | Rafi
My Krell S300i already had an upmarket hifi internal fuse which had made a worthwhile difference some years ago. But this SR Ref Red was like changing to a more powerful amp. I had to check if I had left the B&W PV1D subwoofer on - it was off. This is simply an amazing upgrade and mandatory if you own good mains cables. No use going for better interconnects or speaker cables until the mains chain is the best you can afford.

I have had chance to use and listen many fuses but SR20 and SR RED are the best fuses ! I can recommend it only.

My CD-based system only has an integrated amp with separate power supply, and speakers that I am still using from 1981. Yet after fitting 20 mm SR Red fuses into the easily accessible fuse-holders at the rear of the four components, there were immediate improvements, all typical of a cleaner power supply: (i) Increased pitch resolution. (ii) Sharper "leading edges". (iii) Firmer bass, whilst not lacking power and tunefulness. (iv) A more extended, desirable quality to cymbals. (v) Awareness of previously unheard low-level detail, and improved ability to follow instruments simultaneously (all a consequence of the previous points). Over the next week or so there was a further improvement typical of "burning in". Pitch rendition improved further, and there was a smoothness at the top end on recordings that had previously exhibited some tendency to harshness. Two weeks on, there is no doubt about the quality of the Reds. Well-recorded CDs are even more outstanding, and those that had seemed a little mediocre or not quite right are more than acceptable or even very good with flashes of brilliance. I have Heed dt CD transport, da DAC, and obelisk si integrated amp with the x2 power supply for its power amp, driving Mission 770s, which are very demanding of a good source. An Airlink 2 kW balanced power supply goes into a six-gang socket, into which a Tacima mains conditioner is plugged, which has its own six-gang socket. Thus, I can easily by-pass the bps or the Tacima, which confirms that the system deteriorates when either of them is removed. The mains leads / interconnects / speaker cable were already upgraded or good quality by 2013, and last year I upgraded all six plug fuses to the Quantum SR20, which was quite a clear improvement. Overall, I would say that the gains from upgrading four component fuses to the Reds exceeds the improvement from fitting six SR20 fuses to the plugs. Considering the scale of the improvement and the relatively low cost of upgrading the fuses, the upgrade has to be highly recommended for any system where the fuses are suspected of being a weak link in the chain. Cheap bookshelf speakers that I used for a car system are more forgiving of a poor quality source than the Missions. With my current set up, the bookshelf speakers are nice, but the Missions are a helluva lot better!

I was skeptical at first but now any more.
This fuse is really magic.
I can tell you just one thing : Try it you will blown away by the results.
It's true it's a bit expensive for a fuse, but once installed in your device, you will forget the price to appreciate music.
