The Michell Rega 3-point fixing VTA (Vertical Tracking Angle) Arm Adjuster has been designed for the range of Rega arms (RB-251, RB301 and RB303) that use the recently introduced 3-point fixing. Once installed, the user can adjust the vertical tracking angle in minute increments without losing the rigid 3-point mounting so important to proper sound reproduction.
The VTA adjuster, at its minimum setting, raises the tone arm by 2mm, which is the same as the thinnest setting on the moulded adjuster available from Rega. It comes packed with two different thickness adjuster rings (the thinner ring is designed to lift the tonearm base 0 to 2mm and the thicker ring will lift the base 2 to 4 mm) and all of the fixings.
*Compatible with Rega tonearms and derivatives using the original three point fixing base, such as the RB202, RB303
Please note that this product will not work on the RB 700, 808, 1000, and RB330 tonearms
Michell has built a very simple but nevertheless efficient solution with the VTA Adjuster 2, which ehlps a lot to finetune the height of your tonearm bearing. Makes things much easier.

Good quality
Very nice part in extreme precise conditions! That's what I likegood stuff 👍Juergen
Bought it to raise the VTA by 3mm on my RP6 to fine-tune Benz Micro. Well made, easy to use, does its job.
I used it to put increase height of my Rega arm by 4mm when i switched to a Dynavector cartridge. Its nicely finished bit of kit but a little fiddly to fit and use.I got there eventually and I am now in a good position for future cart changes but the instructions could have been better.

After changing to a new Ortofon cartridge, my Rega RB301 tonearm would no longer lift the stylus clear of the record surface. I was amazed to find that the new cartridge was 4mm taller than my old one, as I had thought they would be all much the same size! This adjuster is perfect for easy trimming of the tonearm height. I now know that I'm prepared for any further cartridge changes in the future.
One of the cheapest upgrades I’ve ever done, and a successful one. Different cartridges come in different heights. It’s been easy for me to correct this problem by using this product. The result is pleasing: you get more information out of the tracks if installed correctly. I experienced I bigger soundstage as a result of this.

The finishing are good. I use it to replace my another spacer that I used to installed before. The sound did improve, more quiet background. The improvement worth more than the price

Since the RB1000 tonearm on my P9 is similar to the RB251, 301 and 303 arms listed as being compatible with this VTA adjuster, I purchased one only to find that the instructions specifically state that it will not work on the RB 700, 809, and 1000 arms (a disclosure missing from the Analogue Seductions and Michell Engineering website descriptions for this item). The apparent problem is that the 3-point bases on the RB251/301/303 arms are thin (2 mm?) whereas the bases on the RB700/808/1000 arms are much thicker (~8 mm). Furthermore, the thinner bases use stand-offs below the base to make up the height difference and these stand-offs are discarded when using the Michell VTA, which is why Michell states that the VTA only adds a minimum of 2 mm of height when installed. For the thicker bases, there are no underlying standoffs to discard, and the VTA is 8 mm thick, so makes just about any installation on the tonearms with thicker bases way too high. I have both a taller cartridge (a Dynavector XX-2 Mk2) at 18.7 mm on my P9 compared to the Rega standard of 14 mm and a thicker mat (I hate the static-prone Rega felt mat!), so I was looking for somewhere about 6.5 mm of VTA adjustment (something that is difficult to accomplish with shims). Fortunately, I have access to a milling machine, so I simply removed 3 mm from the Michell VTA and all is fine now (at least for me), but other users should be made aware of the limitations of this VTA.
