Bought for a friend who spends a lot of time noodling around with audio cables. Is it excessive? Absolutely. Still, for the right person it's a quality, stand-out piece that will bring joy and last a lifetime. Be aware that the current tool design is somewhat different from the pictured tool and now appears very similar to the compact Wiha 32945 tool, with an almost identical crimping die. I have the Wiha tool, which I like and find works very well for my cabling needs. The WBT tool is still gold plated and, in its current variant, comes with a 3-tone matt grey handle.
