Ortofon 2M Bronze MM Cartridge

The 2M Bronze features a nude Fine-Line stylus, polished to the highest standards. The slimmer profile of this stylus will track even the highest frequency modulations, making this cartridge better suited for extremely demanding material. Distortion and record wear are substantially reduced.

Very fast, dynamic and transparent sound. Great for rock and metal music. A little bright, but not harsh. Used in combination with a Rothwell Simplex phono stage and a vintage Japanese Optonica RP-3500 turntable. Very happy with this combination. Next step - rewiring tonearm by VDH MCS-300S silver solid core wire.

Sound is OK but not deep enough

Sound wise generally, this is a good cartridge. But I did not get enough heavy and deep bass sound. Still requires good phono stage and amp and speakers

A major step up from the 2M Blue. Very detailed sound and works well on my RP3. Great service from AS as always.

The Cartridge is by far the best i have listened to.
Definition, clarity, separation, with clear mid-range and crystalline high frequencies
very well rounded !
Previous ones, Goldring 2100 (had never that crystal clear stage image) ; GRADO Gold (good but not that level) and Shure 77 (DJ use...so cant be compared)
