The hand-built Peacock planer magnetic headphones are the flagship of the Sendy Audio range. Developed over a two-year period, the Peacock drivers feature the latest development of the brand’s Quad-Former technology, which consists of double coils on both sides of the diaphragm, with a magnet assembly on both facing sides. This delivers a very natural response and allows the drivers to deliver a frequency response up to 40kHz. The driver is housed within a CNC-machined chassis, which in turn is mounted within a wooden cup that has been highly lacquered and polished.
The rest of the headphone consists of aluminium components that have been machined to the highest of tolerances to be rugged yet lightweight. All material parts are made from goatskin and the ergonomic ear pads seal the headphones in place efficiently yet comfortably for long-term listening. An exchangeable 8-core 6N OCC braided cable is included, which is finished with a 4.4mm pentacom plug. 6.35mm and XLR 4-pin adaptors are also included. The headphones, cable and accessories come packaged in a leather carry case.
